On the very Day 19th May 2026 Bhasha Sahid Divas is observed by Various Organization in Assam and Barak Valley to honour the 11 people who were killed in 1961 while protesting the imposition of Assamese as the States sole Official language. The Rotary Club of Green Land members 12 numbers were attended the very day of 19th May 2026 at Gandhi Bag Park, Park Road Silchar to pay floral tribute and remember the language martyrs.
